I found pix to my 3D kiosk from DSGD 105 this past spring. We had to create a 3D model structure that would be displayed outside an event like a convention. These photos were sort of rushed. I was trying to take pictures of them before I had to leave for class and turn it in. It took so many prints and tries to get it looking and sitting right.

Beginning Photo - Assignment #4
We had to take some photos and pick one to enlarge for a 16"x 20" final product. I looked through some of the photos I took for other photo assignments but didn't use and found these photos of flowers I completely forgot about. The photo I turned in was the single yellow orchid in color. I kept going back and forth between color and black & white and decided to go with color. Here's the other photos as well, both in color and black & white.

Beginning Photo - Assignment #3
Third assignment was a self-portrait assignment. Half of the ones I turned in are a bit embarrassing to post so here are a few that I did turn in and a few that I liked that I didn't turn in.

Beginning Photo - Assignment #2
Here are photos from my second assignment for beginning photography. We had to photograph familiar and exotic things. While at the clam chowder cook-off in Santa Cruz, I took these photos at the Boardwalk and then at the Pigeon Point lighthouse on the way home.

Looking through
I just got back from the Philippines and as I was cleaning out my email, I realized I hadn't cleaned my hotmail account in a while. So I sign in and find I have all these newsletters and things I subscribed to a while back that I don't use anymore. So now I'm going through and either unsubscribing or redirecting it to my gmail account.
Anywho, in the process, I found an email from Blogger granting me access to my old blogs back when I was in high school. I guess I had attempted earlier to get them and I only just opened the email now. It's interesting the things I use to blog about. I think I may use this to blog a bit about things every now and then. When I started this particular blog I had intended it to be for my drawings and artwork whilst pursuing an Animation/Illustration degree. Now that I've switched majors and made it into the Graphic Design program [woo hoo!], I think I'll put this blog to use. I don't think I'll be posting my design projects, especially not while in progress, as I've had friends who've had people steal their ideas and designs. However, I do think I shall share some thoughts every now on then and probably post a lot of images. I'm a visual person and having images accompanying a post makes it more interesting to me.

bracelet

Since school started, I haven't been able to do much beading but I was able to make this bracelet. It's really bad. I'm getting addicted to beads and have all this stuff now but don't have time at the moment to make anything so it just sits there. I try to make time for it though. Since spring break is next week, I'm hoping to make a necklace to go with this or maybe some earrings.

Beginning photo
I'm taking beginning photography this semester. I must say it's a lot of fun, though I'm disappointed it's all digital now. I have to wait until intermediate photography to work with film. Otherwise it's a great class. I got myself a Nikon D60 and find myself taking pictures like crazy. These photos are from my first assignment. We basically just had to take pictures of anything and everything that interested us. When I was taking pictures I would be lying on the ground or at some weird angle just so I can get something interesting. I tell myself "it's okay I'm an artist. I'm being creative." Haha...
I took more than three, but we had to pick three for the assignment. The first two were taken early in the morning. I woke up at 7am and left to take pictures at the park. The picture of the dew on the grass was the most fun because I knew I probably looked ridiculous taking it. The last one was taken around 4pm. I love the beach.
